Luke Amos has barely featured for Tottenham Hotspur this season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s treatment of Luke Amos at Tottenham Hotspur has been rather bizarre this season.
Amos starred over pre-season and Pochettino refused to let the youngster go out on loan.
The Spurs man has been kept with the first-team, but it seems rather baffling that he did not even get named in Pochettino’s squad for their Carabao Cup match against Watford.
If Pochettino is not going to use Amos in his first-team then he surely should have loaned the prospect out.
Amos could have been gaining regular first-team football in the Championship, just like Cameron Carter-Vickers or Josh Onomah.
But, instead, he seems to simply be playing a reserve team role at Spurs and that can’t be doing much for his development.
Amos did not even play for Spurs under-23 side last weekend, so he just isn’t getting enough game-time.
And if Pochettino doesn’t start using the midfielder more regularly, then he needs to seriously think about loaning Amos out in January.
