Tottenham Hotspur’s Mousa Dembele looks likely to leave this summer, but Mauricio Pochettino reportedly wants to replace him with Harry Winks.

Spurs look set to offload Dembele this summer, but according to The Sun, Tottenham will not be bringing in a new player to replace the Belgian.
Instead, Pochettino has decided to put his faith in Winks to cover for Dembele’s absence.
The decision seems like a major gamble, as if Spurs are caught short in central midfield, there is no doubting that both Pochettino and Daniel Levy will come in for criticism.
Tottenham supporters have expressed concerns over what has been perceived as a lack of ambition in the transfer market for some time.
And unless Winks can find a way to make sure Spurs forget about Dembele, then not bringing in a new signing will only raise the scrutiny on the north London’s side’s transfer strategy.

Winks showed he was more than capable of performing a role in Tottenham’s first team back in 2017, but he has struggled with injury more recently.
And by backing him to be Dembele’s replacement, Pochettino is putting great faith in the youngster returning to his very best next season.
