Victor Wanyama has only played twice for Tottenham Hotspur so far this season.

Wanyama has made just two appearances for Spurs this season, after he damaged his knee way back in August.
The Kenyan is still on the treatment table, but Pochettino has confirmed that Wanyama is coming closer to making a return from injury.

“Wanyama we have to assess every day,” Pochettino said. “He is doing well but we need to wait.”
Wanyama’s own absence has not been focused on as much as some of Tottenham’s other injured players, and that is testament to how well they have coped during the former Southampton man’s time on the sidelines.
Wanyama’s unavailability has provided Harry Winks with a chance to showcase his talents, and the youngster has taken his chance.

Winks has now established himself as a key player for Spurs, and his fine form has been recognised by England.
Wanyama now faces fight to win his place back in Spurs’ first-team, when he does return from injury.
Tottenham are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Arsenal in the North London derby.
