Phil Foden scored for Manchester City against Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

Spurs came up against Foden at the weekend, as the North London outfit faced City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this past Saturday.
The 18-year-old scored the only goal of the match in the fifth minute, as Pep Guardiola’s side maintained their challenge for the league title with a 1-0 victory.
Tottenham manager Pochettino has raved about Foden, who has broken into the City first team and is hugely talented.
Pochettino told Football.London about Foden: “He is a fantastic player, he is a very good player. It is not easy in a team like Manchester City to appear, to play, to start the games.
“It is a massive achievement for him, but a massive achievement for Manchester City. Watching him play you can feel the quality he has.”
The Tottenham boss added: “The quality he has, he is a player that can play similar to David Silva, similar in the respect of the characteristics that he can play the number eight with a lot of quality play between the lines and can score goals.
“He has the capacity to read games and find space and try to create problems for the opponent. He is a very clever player, very good, I think he is a fantastic player.”

Promising talent
Foden has yet to guarantee his place in the City starting lineup, but the midfielder has been given chances in important matches and he has taken them.
The 18-year-old midfielder has made two starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Citizens so far this season, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.
The England Under-21 international made four appearances in the Champions League, three in the FA Cup and five in the EFL Cup for City this campaign, according to WhoScored.
