Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be active in the summer transfer window.
Mauricio Pochettino has told the London Evening Standard that Tottenham Hotspur will only sign players if their personalities fit in with the current squad.
Pochettino has formed Spurs’ success around the strength of the unity of their team.
Tottenham’s players are clearly close to each other off the field, and Pochettino is determined not to unsettle this balance in the summer.
Although the Argentine boss has hinted that he is on the look out for additions, Spurs are only looking for players who can fit in with their current team.
“We try to sign players who can improve our squad not only in terms of football quality,” Pochettino said.
“If they are very good people, it is even better. We are a company. Football is the most important thing but it is not only about football.”
Tottenham did not bring in any new players during the January transfer window, and they were largely unsuccessful last summer.
Spurs’ brought in the likes of Moussa Sissoko, Georges Kevin N’Koudou and Vincent Janssen before the start of the season, but all three have failed to make much of an impact at White Hart Lane.
Spurs are expected to add further new faces in the summer, as Pochettino looks to build on his side’s recent success.
Tottenham are currently in second place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Everton at the weekend.
