Tottenham Hotspur back-up goalkeeper Michel Vorm signed a new contract at White Hart Lane today.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has refused to rule out signing Pau Lopez on a permanent transfer, as per his comments in the Hertfordshire Mercury.
Lopez was signed by Spurs on loan from Espanyol last summer, and the North London side have the option of making the goalkeeper’s move a permanent one in the summer.
The Spanish stopper was expected to come in to put pressure on Hugo Lloris, but so far he has not even been able to become Pochettino’s side’s second choice stopper.

And with Tottenham’s current back-up stopper, Michel Vorm, signing a new deal at White Hart Lane earlier today – there are now some doubts over Lopez’s future with the Lilywhites.
However, Pochettino remained coy with his plans for the 22-year-old, when asked at his press conference earlier this afternoon.

“It’s nothing to do with Pau. The three keepers are in different situations, different positions, different levels,” he said, when asked whether Vorm’s new deal meant that Lopez would now not be signing permanently for Spurs. “Pau is more for the present and future and the new deals have nothing to do with him.”
Lopez is yet to make a first-team appearance for Tottenham, with all his action coming for the development squad so far.
