Tottenham Hotspur are currently trying to sort out both Harry Kane’s and Hugo Lloris’ futures.
Mauricio Pochettino has told the Hampstead and Highgate Newspaper that he has complete faith in Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy.
Tottenham have a strict wage policy, which has come under scrutiny after reports in the press this week.
The Daily Mail have claimed that both Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane are asking for contracts which exceed what Tottenham are willing to pay.
Spurs are said to be unwilling to relax their rules – with Lloris currently the club’s top earner on £90.000-a-week (Daily Mail).
The news has caused some questions to emerge over Kane’s and Lloris’s futures at White Hart Lane.
However, Pochettino insists that he is relaxed about the situation, and he has backed Spurs’ stance on the matter.
“I’m calm,” the Argentine boss said. “I trust 100 per cent the club and [chairman] Daniel Levy. He’s doing a fantastic job with the club. The future is brilliant.
“All the players wants to commit to the club and you have plenty of examples in the past few months.”
Kane and Levy both have years left on their contracts with Spurs, and there have not been suggestions that either will leave in the immediate future.
Tottenham return to action after the international break this weekend, when they take on West Ham United on Sunday.
