Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino confirms he’s undecided over three players’ futures

Tottenham Hotspur have sent out Josh Onomah on loan to Aston Villa and Cameron Carter-Vickers to Sheffield United.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted to Football.London that he still has not decided over Kyle Walker-Peters’, Josh Onomah’s or Cameron Carter-Vickers’ futures, ahead of the January transfer window.

Onomah and Carter-Vickers are both on loan at Aston Villa and Sheffield United respectively, but could be recalled in January.

Onomah and Carter-Vickers have both played regularly, but there has been suggestions that Mauricio Pochettino could bring the pair back to Spurs.

Kyle Walker-Peters, meanwhile, could be given the chance to head out on loan.

The young right-back has barely featured this season, after impressing on the opening day of the campaign against Newcastle United.

And Pochettino admits that he still needs to make a final decision on all of the trio.

The Argentine boss said: “We’ve still not decided anything about Cameron, Josh or Kyle Walker-Peters. I think we are still waiting and we will see what happens in the next few weeks. We have until the end of January to decide.”

If Onomah or Carter-Vickers do return to Spurs, they will face a big fight to earn places in the first-team.

Tottenham have been caught short at both centre-back and in central midfield at times this campaign though, and Pochettino may feel he needs the young duo to return, to provide cover as Spurs look to compete across three competitions in 2018.
