Tottenham Hotspur attacker Lucas Moura has told the club’s official website that he finds it difficult to describe how he is feeling right now.

Spurs signed Moura in January last year for £23 million from BBC Sport, but he was held back initially by Mauricio Pochettino.

Moura was handed fleeting chances in cup competition last season, but was generally a back-up option.

However, the Brazilian has been unleashed this term, and has enjoyed a remarkable campaign to date.

Moura scored twice against Manchester United in Spurs’ 3-0 win at Old Trafford, in his most impressive appearance in England to date.

And his form has helped him win the Premier League player of the month award.

Moura admits that he is enjoying a wonderful run of form, and he is struggling to find the words to describe just how happy is feeling right now.

“It’s difficult to explain how I’m feeling at the moment,” Lucas said. “I’m so happy because I know it’s not easy to win this trophy and it was a great month for me and also for the team.

“I don’t have much to say but thanks to God and to share this with my team-mates and with my family, and to keep working because this is only the beginning. We have a lot more in front of us so I need to keep working and doing my best.”

Moura will surely start in Tottenham’s next match, which comes in two weekends’ time, when they take on Liverpool.
