Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Ivan Fresneda and are now considering making an approach to sign the Real Valladolid defender.
That’s according to 90Min, who claim that Fresneda is attracting more and more interest.
It’s stated that Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham are now all considering approaches for Fresneda.
Spanish football expert Fernando Kallas spoke to Sky Sports News (04/01, 12:23pm) and claimed that Fresneda is likely to join Newcastle United.
Kallas claimed that Real Valladolid players and staff are ‘already saying goodbye’ because a move to Newcastle was seen as a foregone conclusion.
Yet with no deal actually done and dusted right now, Tottenham are now looking to swoop in and ruin Newcastle’s plans.
Add in the interest from other Premier League clubs and Newcastle suddenly face a major battle for the Spaniard.

Ivan Fresneda could be another Udogie for Tottenham
Tottenham have had issues at right wing back but may feel that Fresneda can solve those issues in the years to come.
Fresneda is only 18 but has been showing major potential over in La Liga.
The former Real Madrid talent is now attracting enormous interest and Tottenham could have a long-term plan.
It would make perfect sense to sign Fresneda and can him back to Valladolid for the rest of the season, allowing him to continue developing in Spain.
Tottenham have already shown that they are willing to strike a deal like that having signed Destiny Udogie from Udinese.
Tottenham have allowed Udogie to return to Udinese for the season before eventually starting his Spurs career in the summer.
Repeating the trick with Fresneda may be perfect for Tottenham, giving them two talented young wing backs to develop for years to come.
Beating Newcastle won’t be easy but Tottenham seem ready to make their move for Fresneda as they attempt a late hijack.
