Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly about to beat Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to the signature of Dejan Kulusevski, who is rated highly by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tottenham Hotspur closing in on Dejan Kulusevski

Reports from La Repubblica and Tutto Mercato Web this evening suggest that Tottenham are one step away from signing Kulusevski on loan from Juventus.

La Repubblica have reported that Tottenham managing director of football Fabio Paratici admires the winger.

Spurs are ready to accept Juventus’s demand of a loan with an obligation to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2022.

Tutto Mercato Web, though, are reporting that Tottenham want it to be an option to sign Kulusevski on a permanent contract, but Juventus want it to be an obligatory clause.

The Italian news outlet has claimed that Tottenham have reached an agreement with Juventus to pay €1 million (£0.83m) as loan fee and another €30 million (£24.97m) if they decide to make the deal permanent.

These reports suggest that Arsenal will miss out on Kulusevski, with Tuttosport having claimed earlier that the Gunners are ready to make a move for him.
