Gianluca Conte is expected to immediately join Tottenham Hotspur as a technical coach following his brother Antonio’s appointment on Tuesday.

That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that five or six ‘trusted staff’ will join Conte in North London.

The Italian was confirmed as Tottenham’s new manager on Tuesday, just over 24 hours on from the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo.

Conte returns to English football after more than three years away, but familiar faces could return with him.

It’s suggested that brother Gianluca is joining Tottenham, having been an assistant manager to Antonio at Chelsea.

You can imagine that fellow ex-Chelsea coach Paolo Vanoli, fitness coach Costantino Coratti and nutritionist Tiberio Ancora will join Conte, as they often do.

Conte could also bring Cristian Stellini, Stefano Bruno and Adriano Bonaiuti to Tottenham if given the chance.

Who is Tottenham-bound Gianluca Conte?

Whilst Antonio takes all the headlines as as one of the top managers in the game, Gianluca works away from the limelight.

The 49-year-old – three years younger than Antonio – didn’t have much of a playing career with Lecce.

He then followed Antonio into coaching, and has taken on key jobs with Atalanta, Italy, Chelsea and Inter as a result.

A ‘technical coach’ or assistant manager, Conte is vital to his older brother’s coaching setup wherever he goes.

Tottenham have seemingly sanctioned a move to bring the younger Conte in too, and will hope that this combination brings great success.
