Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has only been in charge for a few days, but he has already taken a liking to midfielder Oliver Skipp.
That’s according to Football.London, who claim that Conte has taken a real shine to Skipp in his first week as Tottenham boss.
Conte allegedly agrees with the general feeling inside Tottenham – that Skipp will become a star man for Tottenham in the coming years.
Skipp is even described as a ‘coach’s dream’ thanks to his passing, work rate, vision and tactical understanding.
The 21-year-old has come up through Tottenham’s ranks and could now play a key role under Conte moving forward.
Just look at the players who regularly featured in Conte’s midfield at Inter Milan; Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi, Nicolo Barella.
All three are incredibly hard-working and look after the ball, so you can see why Conte likes Skipp already.

Some have questioned whether there is really room for Tottenham to play both Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in midfield.
Conte at least agreed for the game against Everton, pairing them up in midfield in a 3-4-2-1 system.
Let’s see if Conte sticks with that moving forward, but it sounds like Skipp is going to have a very important role in this new Tottenham era.
