Tottenham Hotspur managerial target Oliver Glasner has somewhat copied Antonio Conte with a scathing rant on his own players.

Tottenham have hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the last few days.

Throwing away a 3-1 lead at Southampton on Saturday afternoon sent Conte into rage as he cursed a 3-3 draw.

Conte slated his players, questioning their desire whilst even branding them selfish in an astonishing tirade.

This will likely end in Conte leaving the club, where it’s this week or at the end of the season.

Tottenham will likely have a number of candidates in mind and one of them has almost imitated Conte this weekend.

Tottenham target Oliver Glasner rages at Eintracht Frankfurt players

Reports from the Daily Mail earlier this month suggested that Tottenham are interested in landing Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner.

The Austrian boss won the Europa League crown with Frankfurt last season and has earned praise for his high-pressing approach.

Frankfurt are winless in their last four Bundesliga games though and results appear to be angering Glasner.

Sunday’s 2-0 defeat away at Union Berlin has left Glasner to almost copy Conte and slate his players.

Glasner told Sport Bild that Frankfurt missed too many chances against Union and couldn’t even stay in the game and claim a 0-0 draw.

Glasner even questioned the quality of his players and raged at his team for always ‘screwing it up’ in defence to cost themselves points.

“We have many chances that we missed. But you could also play 0-0, but we can’t,” said Glasner. “I don’t know how to train for quality. It’s not the first time. We have to be honest, palaver doesn’t always help, palaver. The fact is that we always lose our games in the same way. In the end we screw it up in the back,” he added.

There probably won’t be the same inquest into Glasner’s comments as there has been for Conte at Tottenham, but just how the Frankfurt players will react is interesting.

Tottenham will also be paying close attention to Glasner’s situation and form at Frankfurt as they weigh up their summer candidates to replace Conte.
