Tottenham Hotspur are making Fulham boss Marco Silva a top candidate to replace Antonio Conte this summer.
That’s according to a report from The Sun, who claim that Silva is emerging as Tottenham’s top choice for the job.
Conte is widely expected to leave Tottenham when his contract expires at the end of the season.
There is an option to extend the Italian’s deal by another year but a parting of the ways seems likely.
Last week’s Champions League exit at the hands of AC Milan felt like the end for Conte, even if he hit back with a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
Tottenham will be looking at a number of targets for the summer and it’s claimed that Silva is a prime candidate.
It’s added that Daniel Levy is a fan of Silva because of how he has built Fulham into a strong Premier League side without breaking the bank.
Tottenham aren’t the biggest spenders so Silva seemingly appeals to Levy for his work on a relative budget, though that sounds like the usual ‘Levy doesn’t like spending’ trope.

Marco Silva is rebuilding his reputation at Fulham
Silva was in the managerial wilderness after a disappointing spell at Everton came to an end in December 2019.
The Portuguese coach won 40% of his games at Everton but was given his marching orders and spent 18 months out of the game before Fulham came calling in 2021.
It now looks like the dynamics at Everton may have been the problem as Silva has been outstanding for Fulham.
Promotion from the Championship was easy enough for Fulham but few expected them to be challenging the top eight in the Premier League.
Fulham have been superb this season though and Silva is proving that he can be a top Premier League manager.
The 45-year-old was bound to attract interest off the back of this season and Tottenham may be preparing their move.
This would mean another Portuguese coach for Tottenham after Jose Mourinho and Nuno, with Silva ‘a good friend’ of Mourinho.
Silva would hope for a little more success if he does end up at Tottenham, but we imagine Spurs have a number of other options in mind at this time.
