Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are both chasing Kevin Gameiro.

Kevin Gameiro has been linked with both Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur recently, but he would be better off picking the Magpies, if he has the choice.
However, if Gameiro wants to play first-team football then Newcastle looks like his best option.

The French forward has become frustrated with sitting on the bench at Atleti, but it would be hard to see him doing anything different at Spurs.
Although Tottenham are the higher placed of the two sides, Gameiro would only be playing second fiddle to Harry Kane, if he was to move to North London.
At Newcastle, though, he could become Rafael Benitez’s main man.

Newcastle have struggled to find a prolific scorer, and Gameiro would almost certainly be thrown straight into Benitez’s starting line-up, if he did arrive at St. James’ Park.
And given that Gameiro is now 31, playing regularly is surely the forward first priority, which means Newcastle would be a better choice.
