Juventus are interested in signing Diego Godin in the summer transfer window, according to Tuttosport, and Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur would be wise to join the race for the Atletico Madrid central defender.

It has been reported by Tuttosport that Godin has a release clause of €20 million (£17.62m), and at that price, Liverpool and Tottenham simply cannot afford not to make an offer.

The Premier League duo could do with a defender of Godin’s quality and leadership at the back.

Dejan Lovren may have improved, but Godin would be a massive upgrade for Liverpool, while the former Villarreal star would be the perfect replacement for Toby Alderweireld at Tottenham, with Manchester United interested in the Belgium international central defender, according to The Manchester Evening News.
