Tottenham Hotspur and Everton will reportedly have to pay £80 million for Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.
The Daily Star recently reported that Tottenham and Everton are interested in signing Grealish from Premier League rivals Villa in the summer transfer window.
The report claimed that Spurs and the Toffees are willing to pay £50 million+ to secure the services of the the 24-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
However, it seems that Tottenham and Everton will have to pay a lot more for the talented player – more than they have paid for any player in their history.
The Mirror has reported that Villa have put a valuation of £80 million on Grealish and will not be swayed by offers lower than that.
The report has claimed that if even the Villans go down to the Championship at the end of the season, they will not sell the 24-year-old on the cheap.
According to The Telegraph, Tanguy Ndombele became Tottenham’s most expensive singing for £55 million last summer, while Everton’s record signing is Gylfi Sigurdsson for £45 million, as reported by BBC Sport.
Amid the economic uncertainty caused by the global health crisis, it remains to be seen if Spurs or Everton are willing to or able to spend £80 million on Grealish this summer.
