AC Milan have opened new talks with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur over the signing of Japhet Tanganga in the summer transfer window, according to CM.
AC Milan back in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over Japhet Tanganga
The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Milan are looking for a central defender and have renewed talks with Tottenham over centre-back Tanganga.
The Italian champions have reiterated their interest in the 23-year-old – described as “fantastic” by former Tottenham head coach and current AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho in The London Evening Standard in January 2020 – but they do not want to accept a loan deal that includes an obligatory buy-clause of €25 million (£21.22 million).
What Milan want to do is sign Tanganga on loan from Tottenham with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season, according to CM.

What should Spurs do?
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should get a loan deal done with AC Milan over Japhet Tanganga.
If Milan are willing to pay the defender’s wages for the entire season and want only a loan deal with an option to make it permanent, then Spurs should accept it.
After all, Tottenham would save money on the wages of the Englishman, and if he does well this season, then they would be able to offload him permanent for a decent transfer fee.
