Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi this summer.

But if Spurs go back in for Icardi now, they will have to pay over double what they were considering just two years ago.

The Metro claim that Icardi is valued at £80 million by Inter, due to a clause in his contract.
That price would make him impossible for Spurs to obtain, unless they reluctantly sold Harry Kane this summer.
The chances of Spurs selling Kane in the coming months look minimal, but there still may be some regret that they didn’t push harder for Icardi two years ago.

Spurs have struggled to find competition for Kane, but Icardi could have offered them that.
The Argentine forward has been a prolific scorer in Serie A, and has netted 28 times in 33 appearances for Inter over the past campaign.
