Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur have decided to sell Steven Bergwijn in the January transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Ajax have submitted a bid to Tottenham for a permanent deal regarding Bergwijn.
Romano has added that other clubs are also showing interest in the Netherlands international, who joined Tottenham from PSV Eindhoven in January 2020 for £27 million (BBC Sport).
Are Tottenham making a mistake over Steven Bergwijn?
In our view, Tottenham should not sell Bergwijn in the January transfer window.
We think that Tottenham should keep hold of the 24-year-old Netherlands international winger until the rest of the season at least.

Premier League teams are being affected by COVID-19 issues, and Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte needs to have a big squad.
After all, Spurs are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season.
Are Ajax going to pay Tottenham £27 million for the Netherlands international winger in the January transfer window?
Will any club do that?
No, not in our opinion.
We think that Tottenham would be better off keeping the winger, who will be an option for Conte and could play his role coming off the bench.
