Tottenham are eyeing Adama Traore again and are likely to make their move if they can’t sign Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma this summer.
Tottenham have already added a new right wing back this summer with Djed Spence finally completing a protracted move from Middlesbrough.
Spence will have to compete with Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty as things stand, but there could be even more competition on the way.
You wouldn’t really expect Tottenham to make another move in that area, but Antonio Conte seemingly thinks anybody can play as a wing back…
Tottenham are eyeing Adama Traore
90Min report that Tottenham are keen on signing Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo and – you guessed it – Conte thinks he could play as a wing back.
Zaniolo has mostly played as a number 10 or right-sided winger in his career, cutting in on his left foot to great effect.
The Italian could end up being deployed as a right wing back under Conte, but Roma are demanding around €50million (£42million).
That means Tottenham may have to look for alternative targets and one of them is thought to be Traore.
It’s stated that Tottenham are keeping tabs on Traore’s situation at Wolves and are likely to move for him if Zaniolo can’t be secured.

Traore is into the final year of his contract at Wolves and the Molineux club may be inclined to sell now before he leaves for nothing.
The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona but managed just two assists in 10 La Liga games.
Traore – hailed as a ‘phenomenon’ by former Aston Villa teammate Carles Gil – returned to Wolves this summer but it’s unclear whether he has a long-term future with the club.
It was suggested in Catalunya that Tottenham made a ‘life-changing’ contract offer to Traore, but he rejected Spurs for a return to Barcelona.
Conte would seemingly view Traore as a potential winger or wing back in Tottenham’s 3-4-3 system and his contract situation makes him even more appealing.
Traore may even make more sense than Zaniolo for what Conte wants, but it looks like the Italian ace is Tottenham’s top target as things stand.
