Tottenham Hotspur were snubbed by Adama Traore in January, but his Barcelona future already seems a little less than certain.
This seemed like the most likely Tottenham signing during the January window.
Traore had been linked with Tottenham for months, Antonio Conte wanted him at Chelsea and Fabio Paratici was a big fan.
Conte wanted a more attacking wing back option and Traore, whose Wolves contract ends in 2023, seemed like the ideal target.
Yet despite Tottenham offering a life-changing contract to Traore, the winger chose to reject a move to North London.
Instead, Traore re-joined former club Barcelona on loan with a view to a permanent move this summer.
Traore, 26, has bagged four assists in just seven games for Barcelona having failed to register a single assist in the first half of the season at Wolves.
It seems that Traore is enjoying life back in Catalunya, but just how long will he actually be there?
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has admitted that the club would love to sign Traore permanently this summer, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

However, Laporta admitted that Barcelona are in a ‘difficult financial situation’ and may not be able to afford to sign Traore on a permanent basis.
That would leave Traore heading back to Wolves into the final year of his contract and surely on the chopping block.
In an ideal world, Traore would be staying at Barcelona and Wolves would take the money, but that now seems to be in doubt.
Would Tottenham go back in for Traore this summer? You can never say never, especially if Barcelona back away from a deal.
Yet having been rejected once, you could hardly blame Tottenham for moving on to other targets, possibly leaving Traore to wonder he made the right choice.
