Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier was heavily criticised after his performance against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.
He was dropped for the Premier League game against Watford, to a welcome reaction from Tottenham fans.
Trippier did come off the bench eventually, and helped Spurs to a dramatic 2-1 win.
After the game as Trippier was heading down the tunnel, a supporter from the gantry above made an optimistic ple for the right-back’s shirt.
Trippier obliged, making a young boy’s evening complete.
It’s just a small gesture but Trippier’s moment of kindness is worth flagging up.
He had a worse week than most Tottenham players after his terrible penalty miss against Palace.
