Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin has delivered a huge boost to fans of the club with his latest comments to the media.

Since joining Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur back in January from Genoa, Radu Dragusin has struggled to make an impact at the North London club with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven preferred over the Romanian.

There had been rumours that Dragusin wasn’t totally happy with his situation at the Lilywhites and had even been linked with a potential return to Serie A.

Dragusin has performed well at the European Championships this summer and has been linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s Napoli.

Dragusin opens up on Tottenham future

It has been a tough adjustment period for the former Genoa defender and the hope from Dragusin will be that he’ll be given first team chances next season.

As Tottenham were closing in on the signing of Dragusin, the defender’s agent Florin Manea made it clear how much money he was set to earn from the deal.

“It’s a season that has gone very well so far. And I intend to continue my journey with Romania,” Dragusin told Diretta.it.

“I certainly grew a lot, and I went to Tottenham where it’s another world, where you just have to learn. But I want to grow further and achieve higher goals.”

When asked about his excitement of playing in Europe for Spurs, he said: “It’s what I wanted. My goal was to reach the highest levels of football and I want to do the best I can to achieve that.”

Dragusin’s comments goes against his agent

Since his move to North London, Manea has been very vocal about his client and how Tottenham have viewed his performances

Back in May, Manea even took a swipe at Postecoglou’s tactics, he told CalcioNapoli: “The coach has said many times that he doesn’t want to play three (at the back). He knows better, but he concedes a lot of goals for Tottenham (with the current style of play).

“Playing with three gives you more security and you won’t concede too many goals. Tottenham concede a lot of goals from set pieces. I think Dragusin will find space in the future because Tottenham need his power.”

Despite Manea’s very public quotes against the Spurs manager, Dragusin seems very happy in North London.
