J’Neil Bennett wrote his name in Tottenham Hotspur’s history books when he scored the first ever goal at the club’s new stadium.

Bennett scored in the under-18s victory over Southampton, in one of the club’s test events before the stadium opened formally.

His season is not over yet, and he is still scoring goals, this time for England.

Bennett has been featuring for England’s under-18 side at the Slovakia Cup youth tournament.

His equalising goal in the second half earned England a 2-2 draw with the hosts.

He was one of three Tottenham youngsters to start the game, along with Harvey White and Luis Binks.

Chelsea youngster Clinton Mola scored England’s first goal in the group stage match.

Bennett, 17, is a young winger who Tottenham will be especially keen that he can make it to the top. His latest goal is another positive sign.
