Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane smashed a hat-trick against APOEL Nicosia.
Tottenham Hotspur hero Teddy Sheringham has told talkSPORT that he thinks it can’t get any better than Mauricio Pochettino’s comments about Harry Kane.
Kane, 24, bagged another hat-trick on Tuesday night, scoring three times as Spurs beat APOEL Nicosia 3-0 in their second Champions League group stage game of this year’s competition.
The England international has now hit six hat-tricks in 2017, and he will be particularly happy with Tuesday’s treble given that he scored with his left foot, right foot and with his head, meaning he scored a ‘perfect’ hat-trick.
The game also saw Kane score his ninth goal in just five games in all competitions, with the Tottenham star now receiving praise from all corners.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been quoted by Sky Sports as saying that he loves Kane so much, on and off the pitch, that his own wife is getting jealous of the Tottenham superstar.
Now, former Spurs striker Teddy Sheringham – a player Kane is often compared to – has offered his view to talkSPORT after Kane’s hat-trick.

Sheringham reacted to Pochettino’s comments by saying that it ‘can’t get any better than that’, as the Spurs boss loves him not only as a player, but also as a man.
Sheringham added that Kane could play for any club in the world right now, including Barcelona and Real Madrid, underlining just what a challenge Spurs have in their battle to keep Kane.
“You have heard [Mauricio] Pochettino saying he loves him as a player and as a man – you can’t get any better than that,” said Sheringham. “He could play for any club in the world. Everybody would want him. Real Madrid and Barcelona are looking across the waters thinking they could do with him in their ranks,” he added.
