Tottenham star puts club rivalries aside for World Cup glory.

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was happy for Arsenal’s unlucky defender to share France’s moment of World Cup glory.
Lloris starred as the French captain as Les Bleus won the 2018 World Cup, beating Croatia 4-2 in the final – despite his late error.
While the Spurs man rejoices, spare a thought for his North London rival Laurent Koscielny.
Koscielny picked up an injury in the Europa League final which damaged their chances of winning that trophy – and ruled him out of the World Cup.
The Arsenal centre-back could only watch on as his teammates achieved their lifetime goals.
Koscielny was in Russia to celebrate with the team, and Lloris was happy to see the Arsenal man happy, along with fellow injured star Dimitri Payet.

He told Le Parisien: “I managed to see Lolo (Koscielny). It’s wonderful to see them here with us. It’s a beautiful picture.
“After, we have a thought for them because they could have been in the group. There are risks, we can not control everything in football. They are with us. This success is theirs.”
Those are kind words from Lloris, who has played alongside Koscielny at international level for the past six years.
Club rivalry will resume in due course, but for now it has been set aside.
