Jack Grealish only signed for Manchester City last summer in a British-record £100m deal, yet rumours are swirling that the winger could now leave the Premier League champions in 2023.

90min claim that the England international is planning to leave Manchester next summer, with Grealish reportedly telling close ones that he does not expect to be a City player after this season as the 27-year-old attacker has failed to meet expectations with the English giants.

With a reported wage of £300,000-a-week, Grealish is one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League, meaning that the pool of potential suitors who could sign the forward is already quite limited, including the winger’s former club Aston Villa, who seem to be a fans favourite pick for the superstar’s next destination.

Grealish will be an in-demand asset should the City star actually decide to leave the club next year, and with that in mind, here are three teams who could sign the England international should the £100m man opt to depart the Etihad Stadium after just two years in Manchester.

As mentioned, very few clubs have the financial power to sign Grealish next year, with the versatile attacker one of the highest-paid players in all of Europe and City likely to demand a huge fee for their £100m signing, yet Chelsea, even under new owners, could be a likely suitor for the England star.

Todd Boehly has this summer proven to be more than willing to splash the cash on big-name players such as Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling and Wesley Fofana, and Grealish could be the American businessman’s latest seismic acquisition for the west London side.

Moreover, Grealish is a player who could fit what Chelsea need. The Blues are struggling for both attacking and creative depth, and with the futures of Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic up in the air, the City star makes a lot of sense as a signing for Graham Potter’s side.

Whenever a big-name player is potentially on the market, it doesn’t take long for Real Madrid to be linked with them, and Los Blancos could be another contender to sign Grealish if the winger is to leave City in the next few months, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side due a superstar addition.

It’s been quite some time since Madrid went all-out on a player with a world-class reputation, with Eden Hazard arguably the last major signing the reigning European champions have made, and Grealish could be the next one for the Spanish giants.

Whilst the left-wing position firmly belongs to Vinicius Junior, Grealish’s attacking versatility makes him an ideal player for Madrid, with the former Villa captain also more than suited to the Spanish style of football, which could make the City star a force to be reckoned with at the Bernabeu.

It seems like a lifetime ago, but there was once a time when Grealish looked set to join Tottenham from Villa in 2018, with the-then Championship side rejecting a reported £25m offer for the winger in what could have been an incredible deal for the north London given how far the attacker has come since then.

With Harry Kane reportedly on Bayern Munich’s radar, there could be a slim chance that the England captain could move to Germany if their star striker leaves for the Bundesliga, and with Richarlison slotting in well as Tottenham’s second striker, Fabio Paratici could use the funds to land Grealish from City in a fantastic coup.

Indeed, a lot of dominos need to fall into place if Tottenham are to sign Grealish, but given the club’s past interest in the attacker and the prospect of Kane getting his big move away, Spurs could be a candidate to sign the England international in 2023.
