Tottenham Hotspur have offered Fulham the chance to sign Eric Dier before the transfer window closes.

According to 90min, Tottenham are looking to move Eric Dier on and have now offered the defender to their Premier League rivals.

Convincing him to leave north London may not be easy, though, with the same outlet claiming that he is in no rush to depart.

However, it may be in Dier’s best interest to join Fulham or another club while the transfer market remains open.

The 29-year-old does not appear to be part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans, failing to make an appearance in any of Tottenham’s Premier League fixtures so far this season.

Fulham would not be a terrible move for Eric Dier

Given the current predicament he is in at Tottenham right now, Dier should not be so against the idea of joining Fulham if he is.

Moving to Craven Cottage would give him the chance to stay in the Premier League and get more game time.

With Postecoglou making Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven his two first-choice centre-backs, Dier is unlikely to get many starts at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The form that Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr are in has blocked the pathway into Spurs’ midfield as well.

Fulham have done well in the Premier League under Marco Silva, finishing in the top half of the table last season. Not at any point did it really look like the Cottagers would be going back down to the Championship.

They have also made a decent start to this campaign, recently drawing with Tottenham’s north London rivals Arsenal.

So again, Craven Cottage does not look like it would be the worst destination for Dier right now.

Whatever the case, with the £85,000-a-week (Spotrac) England international far from Postecoglou’s thinking, he has to be considering a move at this very moment.
