Tottenham have now done something no other Premier League side has in history amid a difficult time for Spurs fans.
What’s the story?
Well, Tottenham supporters saw their side lose 6-1 on Sunday, going 5-0 down after just 20 minutes, before hearing that fan favourite Mauricio Pochettino is now heading to Chelsea.
It is a tough time for the north Londoners, but amid the chaos, Tottenham have done something that no other Premier League side has – sacking an interim manager.
In an official statement released by Daniel Levy on Monday, it was announced that Cristian Stellini would be leaving his role as Caretaker Manager with Ryan Mason now stepping up.
The Italian lasted just four games after taking the reins from Antonio Conte.
Stellini oversaw a disappointing 1-1 draw to Everton, before finding a way to beat Brighton 2-1 in very fortunate circumstances as the Seagulls received an official apology from the PGMOL for some poor decisions.

The 48-year-old then suffered a 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth before Sunday’s 6-1 hammering, causing him to lose his job as Interim Manager in what is a Premier League first.
Of course, other interim managers have left their role when a new permanent option has been found, but there has never been an incident where a caretaker manager has simply been sacked for another temporary option.
Tottenham now paying price for years of chaos
Look at the Tottenham XI from Sunday’s 6-1 defeat to Newcastle.
It was a lineup involving signings made by Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, Mauricio Pochettino and Conte, representing a real lack of strategy by all involved.
There has been no recruitment plan, and no organisation when it comes to managerial style either as Spurs attempted to play a four-man defence with a backline constructed for a wing-back system.
As we are also seeing over at Everton nowadays, you can only make so many poor decisions until things begin to mount up and cause major problems.
Hopefully, Tottenham get themselves back on track this summer, or things could turn even more toxic amongst supporters in N17.
