Tottenham Hotspur fans have been worked into a frenzy today amid claims that Mauricio Pochettino could be returning to North London.
Spurs sacked Jose Mourinho in April and are yet to find his replacement, but it seems that Pochettino is now emerging as a top target.
The Athletic report that talks are underway, and despite only taking the Paris Saint-Germain job in December, he could be back at Tottenham soon.
News of Pochettino potentially coming back to Spurs has overshadowed some exits today, with Danny Rose and Paulo Gazzaniga both leaving.
Youngsters have gone too, with midfielder George Marsh among the players to be let go alongside the likes of Kazaiah Sterling, Rodel Richards and Jack Roles.
Marsh made his way through the Tottenham ranks and managed one first-team appearance under Pochettino, playing against Tranmere Rovers in January 2019.

Pochettino even praised Marsh, suggesting that he felt the midfielder had the talent and potential to become a first-team player at Spurs.
Sadly, the 22-year-old hasn’t managed to kick on, and has been released as he looks to find first-team football elsewhere.
Maybe Marsh will have a rise back up to Premier League level and eventually live up to Pochettino’s praise, but as the Argentinian potentially moves closer to a Spurs return, one of his former prospects is on the way out.
