Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino now has added incentive to be aggressive in January.

Last week Mauricio Pochettino was downbeat about Tottenham spending big in January, Football London reported.
Perhaps understandably, as he did not know if the club would be in the Champions League last 16.
Tottenham’s draw against Barcelona was enough to secure a place in the knockout phase and with it, millions in TV revenue.
Add in the money which will be generated from finally playing in their new stadium, and Tottenham are onto a money spinner.
This has the potential to be a game changer in the January transfer window.
Extra funds will allow Tottenham to spend a bit more freely, and Champions League football will help attract players to the club.

Tottenham’s performance away in Spain was the type of game which really sold the work Pochettino is doing, and potential signings should be excited about playing a part.
Tottenham should not feel they are in the last 16 just to make up the numbers. They must start dreaming big.
They have shown they can compete with Europe’s best, but need all the help they can get.
One or two extra signings will help their cause as the competition steps up a level.
Whether he admits it publicly or not doesn’t really matter, but Pochettino has to change his stance and make January signings a top priority.
