Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made contact with Ruben Amorim, and the Sporting Lisbon manager is open to the idea of coming to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ruben Amorim open to Tottenham Hotspur manager’s role
Tottenham have made contact with Amorim, who is interested in becoming the manager boss at the end of the season, according to The Times.
The 38-year-old, described as “remarkable” by Arsenal manager Arteta on the club’s official website in March, is in charge of Sporting at the moment.
Sporting are not going to win the Portuguese Primeira Liga title this season and may not even end up in the top three.
The Times have added that Tottenham are not considering Julian Nagelsmann to be their next permanent manager.

Exciting
In our view, Ruben Amorim would be a good and exciting managerial appointment for Tottenham Hotspur.
Sporting are a big club, and the 38-year-old former Portugal international midfielder has done well as the manager of the Lisbon club.
Under Amorim, Sporting won the Portuguese Primeira Liga title in 2021 and the Taça da Liga in 2021 and 2022.
Yes, things have not been great this season, but that should not detract from the wonderful job the young manager has done in his career so far.
Let us not also forget that Amorim led Braga to the Taça da Liga in 2020.
