The Spurs ace now has eight penalties for England following his hat-trick – with two spot-kicks – against Bulgaria.

Tottenham Hotspur striker and England captain Harry Kane simply cannot stop scoring for club and country, with three goals in four appearances for Spurs this term (Transfermarkt) and boasting a hat-trick in the first Three Lions game of 2019-20.
The 26-year-old opened the scoring against Bulgaria on 24 minutes by making the most of a blunder from opposition goalkeeper Plamen Iliev, whose attempted pass to his left-back found Raheem Sterling, who set up his teammate to sweep home.
Kane then stepped up to the penalty spot after Marcus Rashford was tripped by Nikolay Bodurov and confidently dispatched his effort from 12 yards, sending Iliev the wrong way, for his seventh penalty goal in England colours (Sky Sports Statto).
The marksman then turned provider, cutting the ball back to Sterling for England goal number three, before later being bundled over by Kristian Dimitrov for another penalty, this time smashing the spot kick into the top left corner.

Substituted in the 77th minute, Kane has now scored eight penalties – excluding shootouts – for England, one more than Wayne Rooney and just one short of Frank Lampard’s nine – he could well go and equal, if not break, the record by the time he’s back at Tottenham, with England hosting Kosovo on Tuesday.
In addition, Kane has scored five penalties in his last five appearances at Wembley Stadium for club and country (OptaJoe) and is joint top with Michael Owen for England hat-tricks this century (Sky Sports Statto), not to mention being the first player to score 23 or more goals in his first 40 appearances for the England men’s team since Gary Lineker’s 27 (OptaJoe).
