Giovani Lo Celso could miss the World Cup after the Tottenham misfit suffered an injury with Villarreal on Sunday.
The World Cup is right around the corner and we’re now at a stage where even a minor injury could rule you out.
That was the fear for many when Bukayo Saka went down with an injury during Arsenal’s win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
It sounds like Saka will be okay and will be able to play for England at the World Cup, but others are left sweating.

Giovani Lo Celso could miss the World Cup
Tottenham-owned midfielder Lo Celso is one such player.
Lo Celso is out on loan at Villarreal and has been playing regularly for the La Liga club this season.
Lo Celso started against Athletic Club on Sunday but lasted just 25 minutes before picking up an injury.
Ole in Argentina now report that it looked like a Grade 1 hamstring injury at first, which would have kept Lo Celso out for days rather than weeks.
However, a scan has brought up a ‘strange image’ and the fear is that Lo Celso’s injury is worse than first expected.
Ole’s report suggests that there could be detachment of the muscle tendon from the bone, which can take months to recover from.
The situation is described as ‘maximum alert’ and whilst more scans will be coming, Argentina’s staff are really concerned.
Lo Celso may not have lived up this billing at Tottenham but he has been a vital player for Argentina.
The 26-year-old featured in almost all of Argentina’s qualifying games; the three games he missed were down to COVID-19 or suspension.
Lionel Scaloni has loved playing Lo Celso out wide and in midfield, and the expectation was that Lo Celso would be starting in Qatar.
This would be heartbreak for Lo Celso, who was in Argentina’s 2018 World Cup squad but failed to play a single minute.
Having put everything into this qualification campaign, Lo Celso may again miss out on playing on the World Cup stage.
Even if Lo Celso wasn’t highly-rated at Tottenham, most Spurs fans will be gutted to hear of the midfielder’s injury fears.
