Tottenham Hotspur have some of the most exciting young players in the country coming through their ranks, but who are the best when it comes to strikers?
Here we take a look at the five best young forwards currently on Tottenham’s books.
Shayon Harrison
The pick of the bunch, 19-year-old Shayon Harrison has regularly trained with Tottenham’s senior stars and it is only a matter of time before he makes his debut.
With 13 goals in 24 matches for the under-23s, including three in four matches this season, he is the real deal.
Kazaiah Sterling
Along with Harrison, 17-year-old Kazaiah Sterling has been namechecked by Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino when it comes to the next wave of striking talent at the club.
Sterling scored on his debut for Spurs’ under-21s last season and with his fine finishing and blistering pace he is certainly one to watch.
Ryan Loft
A tall, powerful forward who has been steadily climbing through the ranks, the 19-year-old shone for Tottenham’s under-18s last season and has since made the step up to the under-23s.
He has scored two goals in 10 games at that level and while he is predominantly a striker he can also play out wide if required.
Reo Griffiths
He may only be 16, but Reo Griffiths is starting to generate the same sort of buzz as Marcus Edwards before him.
A versatile forward, he scored both goals in a 3-2 UEFA Youth League defeat against CSKA Moscow late last month and is blossoming into a highly effective goal-scorer.
He made his debut for Tottenham’s under-18s at just 15 and looks like continuing to play above his level for years to come after previously netting more than 30 times at under-16 level.
Aramide Oteh
Arguably the least known on this list, 18-year-old Aramide Oteh is no less exciting.
In the 2014/2015 campaign he scored nine goals in just 12 matches for Tottenham’s under-16s and last season he netted four times in 13 appearances for the under-18s (with 11 of those appearances coming from the bench).
Oteh still has a long way to go but he has the talent to ultimately excel at White Hart Lane.
