Stan Collymore has told CaughtOffSide that Tottenham Hotspur fans would have loved Leandro Trossard at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal signed him from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Collymore believes that Pedro Porro, who moved to Tottenham in the January transfer window, is an average player.
The former Liverpool striker thinks that Belgium international winger Trossard would have been a quality addition to the Tottenham team.
Arsenal signed the 28-year-old from Premier League rivals Brighton in the January transfer window.
The Gunners, who are at the top of the league table at the moment, are paying Trossard £90,000 per week as salary (The Daily Mail).

Collymore wrote: “Pedro Porro came in from Sporting Lisbon. It’s a great move for him, but he’s an average player that’ll be told to do a job.
“When you compare that kind of signing to the ones Chelsea are making, sure, it may be unfair to compare any club to them because they’re blowing everyone out of the water at the moment, but even Arsenal’s signing of Trossard – Spurs fans must be pulling their hair out thinking ‘why couldn’t we have got him?’”
Staying positive
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur fans should stay positive about Pedro Porro and should not worry about not signing Leandro Trossard ahead of Arsenal.
If Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has personally chosen Porro to play right wing-back in his system, then the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful should have faith in him.
And, yes, Trossard would have a good signing for Spurs, but do the North London club need yet another winger or attacking player, especially after they signed Arnaut Danjuma?
Danjuma is on loan, while Trossard would have been a permanent signing.
