Tottenham fans worried about club’s ambition after hearing Bas Dost rumour

Tottenham Hotspur need a new striker – and it seems like about four or five forwards are being linked with the club every day.

Spurs lost 1-0 at home to Everton on Sunday to kick off their season, and it’s clear that Jose Mourinho needs another goal threat from the bench.

The latest name linked is Bas Dost, as the Daily Mail claim that Tottenham are prepared to pay £5.5million for the Dutchman.

Eintracht Frankfurt are allegedly willing to take a £1million loss on the £6.5million they paid for Dost in 2019, which would certainly fit Tottenham’s budget.

The 31-year-old has hit 11 goals and three assists in 31 games for Frankfurt since joining from Sporting in Portugal two years ago.

His record with Sporting was quite remarkable, smashing 93 goals in 127 games, and he has always posted a threat with his giant frame and aerial ability.

Dost could bring that kind of threat to the Tottenham attack, but Spurs fans don’t seem to be too enthused by the rumours.
