Peter Crouch has said on BT Sport/ESPN (10:11pm, November 4, 2021) that he is surprised that Son Heung-min is still at Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Spurs striker rates the South Korea international forward highly.
Crouch has said that Son is a top player, and knows that his comments about the 29-year-old will not go down well among the Tottenham fans.
The Englishman made the comments about Son following Tottenham’s 3-2 win against Vitesse at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last night.
Son scored the opening goal of the Europa Conference League after 14 minutes.
Crouch said about Son: “I have always been surprised at this. There’s never any talk about him in the transfer market.
“Tottenham fans will hate me saying that, he is absolutely loved here, but I mean for me, he is a top, too player. He is a top Premier League player.”

Harry Kane often gets all the headlines, but ask any Spurs fan, and they will tell you that Son is just as important.
The 29-year-old, signed by Mauricio Pochettino back in 2015, has developed into an important source of goals for the North London club.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star has scored 74 goals in 206 Premier League matches for Spurs so far in his career.
Son has never indicated – in public at least – that he wants to leave Tottenham.
The forward always plays with a smile on his face.
Given that the 29-year-old signed a new contract with Tottenham only in June, we can say for sure that he is not going anywhere anytime soon.
