Tottenham Hotspur’s faintest Premier League title hopes rest on Saturday evening’s result as they travel to the Etihad Stadium to face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City – and Spurs fans want Mauricio Pochettino to start Serge Aurier.

Spurs sit in fourth place and a huge 18 points behind the league leaders, who have surpassed expectation by winning a huge 15 matches on the spin as the likes of David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling rip up the form books.

Pochettino must field his strongest side possible if Spurs are to end City’s unbeaten start to the Premier League, which now stands at 16 wins and just one draw from a 17 league outings.

The Argentinian manager has constantly rotated his side with Kieran Trippier and Aurier both given chances to shine on the right side of defence, with the difference between both players minimal.

However, Ivory Coast international Aurier scored his first goal on Wednesday night in a 2-0 win over Brighton and the speed machine’s confidence will be sky high going into Saturday’s clash.

Spurs fans are desperate to see the summer signing from Paris Saint-Germain start, with one fan even claiming that 27-year-old Trippier “is garbage”.
