Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will become a free agent next summer.

Arsenal ended up having to offload Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United in January of this year to avoid him leaving for free – and they may face a similar problem with midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
The Gunners swapped Sanchez for Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the Chilean seemingly made it clear that he wouldn’t be signing a new contract, and they avoided a repeat with Mesut Ozil by convincing him to sign a deal shortly after.
Now though, Arsenal are watching another key player wind down his contract, as Ramsey will become a free agent at the end of the season as things stand.
The Welshman, 27, hit seven goals and eight assists in the Premier League last season, and has started this term as a regular under Unai Emery, but his future appears to lie away from the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have aborted talks over a new contract with Ramsey according to The Mirror, with their report adding that Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign the midfielder in 2019.
The Gunners may be forced to cash in on Ramsey in January before he leaves for free, and whilst fans of clubs around Europe may be keen on seeing their side sign Ramsey, Tottenham supporters are surprisingly supportive of their club launching a bid.

Players very, very rarely move between the two North London rivals, and Sol Campbell’s infamous move made it clear that leaving one for the other on a free transfer would be a hugely controversial decision.
Now, a number of Spurs fans have surprisingly taken to Twitter to urge the club to launch a controversial, bargain deal for Ramsey in 2019, believing that he is exactly what Tottenham need right now, and whilst a deal may be unlikely, it would be a ‘no brainer’ to sign him if possible – though wages would surely be an issue under Daniel Levy’s reign.
One fan joked about only signing Ramsey to clean Dele Alli’s boots, but there is a surprising number of supporters who would be keen on Ramsey crossing the divide to don the white of Spurs instead of the red of Arsenal in 2019.
