Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Brendan Rodgers in recent weeks.

TalkSPORT reported in March that Tottenham are big fans of the 50-year-old, who is currently a free agent.

It was suggested that Spurs admire Rodgers and his style of play is what they are seeking from their next manager.

Meanwhile, Graeme Bailey told the Talking Transfers Podcast that Daniel Levy rates the Northern Irishman highly.

Now, the aforementioned journalist has urged Spurs fans to still “keep an eye” on Rodgers potentially joining the club.

Bailey, speaking on the Talking Transfers podcast, reiterated that the former Leicester boss is “much loved” Daniel Levy.

The reporter also gave an update on several other managers on the Tottenham radar.

“It might come down to (Luis) Enrique having the choice,” he said. “They’re going to talk to him.

“There are others as well. Arne Slot, he’s going to be in contention, he turned down Leeds in January.

“Vincent Kompany, he’s doing a fantastic job at Burnley.

“And Brendan Rodgers, his name won’t go away, keep an eye on him guys, he is much-loved by Daniel Levy.”

‘Tactically, he does it all’

Admittedly, Rodgers may not be a marquee name such as Mauricio Pochettino, Julian Nagelsmann or Luis Enrique.

However, the 50-year-old certainly ticks quite a few boxes for Tottenham Hotspur.

He has plenty of experience in the English game and has won a fair few trophies in England and Scotland.

Spurs cult hero Darren Anderton recently said Rodgers plays “the Tottenham way”, which Spurs fans would love.

West Ham United’s Michail Antonio, who Rodgers managed at Reading, also sung the coach’s praises recently.

“If you look at his stats and how well he has done at Leicester, he had a bad year,” he said on the Footballer’s Football Podcast.

“Him dropping into the bottom three right now, I understand why they want to switch it up but he’s an unbelievable manager.

“The quality he has. I had him at Reading and he’s up there with one of the best I’ve ever had. Tactically, he does it all.

“The only reason he got released from Reading is because we had all the possession, controlled the game but couldn’t score any goals.

“We had 70-75% possession every single game.”
