Spurs have gone to Spain for a warm-weather training camp with no Premier League action for them until the end of March.
Tottenham Hotspur may have done superbly to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League but domestically their form has taken a massive nosedive that has left them looking over their shoulders in the Premier League.
Spurs were in contention for the title but three defeats and a draw in their last four league games has now left them 13 points adrift of leaders Manchester City, and only one point above rivals Arsenal in third, while Chelsea and Manchester United are not far behind.
With no competitive fixtures now until 31 March, Spurs will aim to regroup in the coming weeks in a bid to get back on track and the first step to achieve this has been to fly out to a warm-weather training camp in Barcelona.
As reported by the Evening Standard, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has a home in the city, where he spent more than a decade as a player and manager with Espanyol, and the squad will spend the next few days training at the city’s Olympic Stadium, returning on Thursday.
On Twitter, Tottenham fan favourite Toby Alderweireld shared an image of himself in training alongside Son Heung-min, captioned “Barcelona” with emojis of a pushpin and the flag of Spain:
