Two Tottenham Hotspur players feature in the two-time world champions’ latest squad but two other Spurs men haven’t made the cut.

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the latest Argentina squad selection, which features two Spurs players but also sees two fail to make the cut.
Juan Foyth and Giovani Lo Celso have made the Albiceleste pack for the friendlies against Brazil and Uruguay in November, despite neither starting a single match for Tottenham so far this season.
Indeed, the former has played just 17 minutes under Mauricio Pochettino this term, while there has been concern amongst some fans over Lo Celso being called up due to the fact he picked up an injury last time out on international duty.
Spurs goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, meanwhile, has not made the cut, despite getting plenty of first-team action in recent weeks following Hugo Lloris’ injury.
Likewise, Erik Lamela, who has been in decent form this term, isn’t included either – though he may still be recovering from a thigh injury recently picked up in training (Football London).
Here is some of the reaction from the Tottenham fanbase on social media:
Other Premier League players involved include Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Nicolas Otamendi, Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo, Watford’s Roberto Pereyra and Arsenal’s Emiliano Martinez.
Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, meanwhile, is back after a three-month ban imposed by South American footballing body CONMEBOL after he made accusations of corruption following the Copa America tournament in Brazil in July (Daily Mail).
