Tottenham Hotspur have announced further details regarding their first competitive game at their new stadium.

It had already been confirmed that Crystal Palace will be Spurs’ first opponents upon their return to N17, but now the Lilywhites have announced that the Premier League game will kick off at 7:45pm on Wednesday 3 April.

In addition, Tottenham have confirmed that their stadium opening ceremony will take place ahead of the league encounter with the Eagles, despite reports that the club was not eager to hold it then.

According to Football London, Spurs had originally felt that it would be difficult to hold such a ceremony before a midweek match, given the logistics of getting to the game after many fans would have finished work.

Nonetheless, the North Londoners say the ceremony will take place and have urged fans to “please, therefore, make arrangements to arrive as early as possible”, stating it is expected to commence approximately 20 to 30 minutes before kickoff.
