It has been a good week for Tottenham Hotspur so far, with their glorious return to N17 capped off with a solid 2-0 win over Crystal Palace that put Spurs back into third in the Premier League table.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side had endured a torrid run in the league but they got back to winning ways by seeing off Roy Hodgson’s charges thanks to goals from Son Heung-min – the history-making first ever senior goal at the new ground – and Christian Eriksen.

Indeed, the South Korea international’s first goal for Tottenham actually came against the same opponents back in September 2015 and, as reported by Football London, he recently said that it was his favourite goal in a Spurs shirt.

Son is a big fan favourite at Tottenham thanks to his talent, attitude and personality, and speaking after the game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, his comments went a long way to endearing him to the Lilywhites faithful even further.

“It feels amazing. I’m very proud to play in this shirt,” Son told the official Spurs website. “I still remember when I scored my first Premier League goal at White Hart Lane, it was against Crystal Palace and now I score not such a beautiful goal but I think the most important goal for me.

“I feel proud of my teammates, staff, fans and I just want to say thank-you for the amazing support and giving me the opportunity to play in this unbelievable stadium. It makes me happy. I’m the happiest guy in the world.”

The Spurs Twitter feed posted a graphic of Son complete with the standout “I’m the happiest guy in the world” quote and needless to say the fanbase loved it, with some fans having their say:
