Spurs say the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will screen the Champions League final between Mauricio Pochettino’s Lilywhites and Liverpool.
Tottenham Hotspur have announced that they will be holding a live screening of the Champions League final at the new stadium.
Spurs will take on Premier League rivals Liverpool in Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday 1 June for the right to lift Europe’s premier club trophy.
Mauricio Pochettino’s charges triumphantly overturned a 3-0 aggregate deficit in the second half of their semi-final second leg away at Ajax thanks to Lucas Moura’s superb hat-trick.
The Brazilian scored twice within five minutes in the second half on Wednesday before adding a third deep into injury time to secure an aggregate scoreline of 3-3 and progress on away goals.
On Friday evening, Spurs stated on their website that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be open to full capacity for the final, giving as many fans as possible who are not able to get to Madrid the chance to come together for the match.
The club added that BT Sport’s live broadcast of the match, which kicks off at 8pm BST, will be shown on the stadium’s four HD screens within the stadium bowl, with additional entertainment provided throughout the evening and all food and drink outlets open.
As per their statement, tickets for the event will be priced at £10 for adults and £5 for juniors, with further details on the ticketing process for the screening to be communicated once the sales process for the final itself is complete next week.
