The Spurs duo picked up an accolade each at the 2019 London Football Awards ahead of the North London derby against Arsenal.

Two of Tottenham Hotspur’s main men have been recognised for their exploits this term at the 2019 London Football Awards.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was named Manager of the Year at Thursday night’s ceremony, while Son Heung-min was named the Premier League Player of the Year.
Although the Argentine has had a week to forget, having lost back-to-back league games, he has kept his side in the upper echelons of the table and in pole position for the Champions League quarter-finals.
Son, meanwhile, was recognised for his impressive form this season that has seen him score 16 goals in 34 games in all competitions for the Lilywhites.
The South Korea international beat teammate and last year’s winner Harry Kane, Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend to the award.
With Tottenham facing Arsenal in the league this weekend, these awards could potentially provide an injection of confidence for the team, a reminder of the great work they’ve been doing despite the setbacks of the past week.
Spurs posted the update on their Twitter feed and some fans responded on the platform:
