The Spurs striker has largely played second fiddle to Harry Kane this season.

Tottenham Hotspur have praised striker Fernando Llorente for his exploits this season with a Twitter post which paid tribute to his knack of “delivering the big goals”.
The Spanish forward has largely played second fiddle to Harry Kane this season but, when the England captain has found himself on the sidelines, Llorente has stepped up to the plate.
Llorente did not play a full Premier League game this term until January when he lined up against Fulham and has only made the starting XI in the league four times (Transfermarkt).
Likewise, he has not started a single Champions League game this season, but nonetheless he has not only been a model professional but has also scored crucial goals.
Against Watford, Newcastle and Leicester in late January and early February, Llorente grabbed one goal and three assists, while in the Champions League he netted against Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City.
Here is what the Tottenham account posted about the €3.5million (£3million)-rated 34-year-old:
Plenty of Spurs fans responded to the tweet and hailed Llorente, with some urging the club to give him a new contract as his expires at the end of the season:
